Best Days in Paris! We did two private tours with Americans in Paris. The first was with Gigi as our guide to Versailles and Giverny and he was excellent and the tours were amazing. The French countryside and villages were also fun to see and we stopped to eat lunch in a small village Gigi recommended. Giverny greatly exceeded our expectations. Lucile took us all over on a “secrets of Paris” tour. Lucile was such an important part of the day because she made every stop interesting and she was very funny as well. She is a great guide and we had a special days with here. I highly recommend this company and ask for Gigi and Lucile.

Touring the Champagne region with Steeve We had the best experience touring the Champagne region with Steeve, and highly recommend booking any tour with him. He picked up our party of four from our apt in Paris in a very spacious and comfortable van, sharing lots of interesting information on our 90-min drive to Reims. There, we stopped to see the majestic cathedral, took a first-rate tour of the Veuve Clicquot Champagne House and then had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch and bottle of champagne together at Brasserie Le Jardin. After lunch, we travelled to Avenay-Val-d'Or to visit the smaller, artisanal champagne house of Pierre Morlet for a tour of the cellars, a tasting and a translated conversation with one of the family owners, who was most charming. Steeve convinced him to show us the old method of disgorgement used to blast the sediment from the neck of the aging bottle before the final steps of adding sugar and yeast to create the bubbles - very cool! Steeve is quite personable and informative, with many different tours offered. Hope to see Giverny with him on our next visit.

Best guide ever Our group of 4 enjoyed a full day in Paris with Steeve. He made Paris come alive for all of us. Steeve shared history and interesting facts as he led us around the not so obvious parts of the city. We loved seeing Paris through Steeve's eyes. The next day we had a wonderful full day in Versailles with Vincent. We appreciated Vincent driving us to and from Versailles. He knew all of the short cuts around the Palace. We learned so much about life in the Palace. It was absolutely amazing to roam the halls of the Palace, the Grand Trianon, and the Petite Trianon. Steeve and Vincent are wonderful!!!

An American in Paris (with a personal guide and custom itinerary) Highly recommend The American in Paris. I was assigned Gigi as my personal guide. I provided a custom itinerary to include St. Chapelle. Pere Lachaise, Montmartre, Muse'e D'Orsay, Maison Fournaise (Luncheon of the Boating Party), and Van Gogh's final residence in Auvers-sur-Oise, among others. Gigi was knowledgeable in every place we visited and was a wonderful guide. My trip was a success.

Friendly, knowledgeable guide that helped us better appreciate Paris! We had such a great time getting our bearings in Paris with Steeve’s help! He showed up on time & he arranged our time together around our preferences. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He engaged with my kids (girls - 13 years and 11 years) easily. He was able to answer all of our questions, help provide a high level appreciation of history and culture, and he even helped us get settled using the public transport system. Steeve is professional and friendly. And so well traveled. He’s seen more of the United States than most Americans. Spending time with him at the beginning of our trip helped us understand the French culture in a way that we would’ve never appreciated without his help. Highly recommend!

Great one-day tour to Normandy My son and I signed up for a one-day private tour to Normandy. Steeve Calvo was our guide. He picked us up at our Paris hotel at 7 am sharp and we drove to Normandy in his spacious late model sedan. For those who are time-constrained as we were and can only devote a day to Normandy, this is the way to go. Apart from the iconic scenes at Point Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery, a highlight was lunch at a local Normandy restaurant, not frequented by tourists. Home cooked dishes, plus fresh baked bread and the fantastic Normandy butter. Delicious. A native Parisian, Steeve speaks fluent English and is steeped in World War II history, making him a perfect guide for those whose French is limited to "bon jour." Private tours are a luxury option, but worth every penny given that you have your guide's undivided time and attention. You get a lovely drive through the French countryside (about 3 hours each way, including coffee and restroom stops) and 6 or 7 hours at Normandy, including lunch. We got back to Paris a bit early (at our request so we could make our 7 pm dinner reservation) which left time for Steeve to give us a brief city tour as a bonus. A full day with plenty of time to see the essential Normandy sites, and a lot more.

5 STAR Experience I was referred to Steve from a good friend as I was looking for a tour guide in Paris. I am not a good planner so I reached out to him the day before my flight. He kindly squeezed us in on his day off, for a tour of Paris the day after we arrived. He showed us all the key sites, and acted as our personal concierge. With his connections, we got to do everything we wanted, even sold out events. Our trip would never have been as amazing had we not had Steve to help us. He is a pro, responsive, relatable and fun. Worth every penny!
