Dedicated for all the family, this educative tour will enable you to answer all your questions about Napoleon Bonaparte during the 1st Empire from 1804 to 1815 when he was sent in exile in Saint Helena after his defeat in Waterloo in Belgium. Learn about the main protagonists of this period: Napoleon, his brothers, sisters and wives and its famous generals like Kleber or Murat. Learn about the most famous battles, victories of the emperor and discover the rich legacy he left to France and his influence around the world. Napoleon’s policies created the foundation for much of France’s legal and social system today. For instance, the Code Napoleon is still the French civil code.  Your licensed Guide, expert on Napoleon Bonaparte, will pick you up in front of your hotel or apartment in a private, luxury vehicle. Before starting the tour, he will give you a complete introduction of Napoleon Bonaparte and the 1st Empire. You will start this morning with the most emblematic building where Napoleon  is buried since 1840: The Hotel des Invalides. Enter with your expert guide to the crypt and see the famous tomb built for the Emperor by the architect Viscomti. You will be amazed by the deep atmosphere of the place! You will have time to walk inside the building  and see the main courtyard with the French classical cannons and the statue of the Emperor.

 Following this, you will be driven (accompanied with the appropriate commentaries) to the main monuments built under Napoleon. After he crowned himself Emperor on December 2nd 1804, Napoleon began a series of projects to make Paris into an imperial city to rival ancient Rome. Discover the Arc of Triomphe started to be built in 1806 after the 1st Victory of  Austerlitz, The Madeleine Church (dedicated to the Great Army), the Palais Bourbon, the Palais Brongniart (Paris Stock Exchange), the very symetrical rue de Rivoli in the 1st district, the Vendôme Column built with the canons of the Austrian army, the Louvre with the Arc of the Carrousel, Place du Chatelet with the Fontaine du Palmier, and the Pont des Arts (1st Iron brige of the capital). Time to enjoy an exclusive guided tour inside Notre Dame where the coronation took place on December 2nd 1804, a way for Napoleon to make it clear that he was a son of the Revolution ; the first Frenchman to hold the title of emperor in a thousand years.
